Ansu Fati’s future at Barcelona is once again in the spotlight after the forward was left out of the squad for tonight’s Copa del Rey game against Real Betis.
The match looked a prime opportunity for Fati to gain some much-needed first-time minutes but he’s not even in the squad.
Barcelona have not confirmed why Ansu is missing and no injury update has been provided, suggesting at this stage that he’s simply been dropped.
If that proves to be true then it looks as though Hansi Flick is sending out a very strong message to Fati about his future at the club.
