For months, Mexico had known Oct. 10 would be the date when the next big challenge would come. Players, coaches and media members talked about the playoff against the United States, and the game seemed to pass by in a flash. The U.S. did challenge El Tri, but ultimately Paul Aguilar's golazo secured a 3-2 extra-time win and means Mexico goes off to the 2017 Confederations Cup.
