What has Hodgson achieved in three years as England coach?

The Three Lions boss took charge in 2012 and after two disappointing tournaments and an unbeaten run since the 2014 World Cup, he will face his final acid test at Euro 2016.

As Roy Hodgson strode into his first England press conference back in 2012, he enthusiastically claimed that he was “unsurprised” by the call to become the national team coach.

"Given my CV, I had the right to hope and harbor the wish that the FA, after going through the process, would choose me. I didn't expect though,” he said. A number of onlookers were surprised.
