The Manchester United goalkeeper is holding out for a move to Real Madrid - but he may have to wait a few weeks before a deal is completed.
It is now only a question of time. David De Gea has his heart set on a return to Spain with Real Madrid and Manchester United is already resigned to losing the 24-year-old goalkeeper. The transfer, however, is nowhere near completion at this stage.
De Gea emerged at Atletico, appearing 84 times for Real's rival between 2009 and 2011 and winning two trophies (the Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup) with the Rojiblancos under Quique Sanchez Flores.
