“We’ll miss him a lot” - Hansi Flick talks Marc Bernal’s injury and his replacements at Barcelona

Barcelona will have to find a way to deal with the absence of breakout star midfielder Marc Bernal for the rest of the season due to the knee injury sustained by the 17-year-old against Rayo Vallecano in midweek, which gives coach Hansi Flick a massive headache considering the other absences in the squad.

Frenkie de Jong and Gavi, who are also options for the pivot role in his system, are currently injured without a real timetable to return, and Andreas Christensen is expected to miss at least two months with his persistent Achilles issues.

Flick was asked about Bernal’s injury and how he plans to move forward without the youngster, and the coach explained how important Bernal had already become to the team and who is in line to replace him in the short-term.
