African legend Didier Drogba has stood by Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera who lost his uncle and grandmother, days before his blunder in his country's 2-0 loss to France at the World Cup.
Muslera failed to deal with Antoine Griezmann's shot during their quarter-final fixture, which resulted in France's second goal as the Sky Blues bowed out of the quadrennial showpiece.
Reports have it that the 32-year-old had lost his uncle in a car accident a week ago while his grandmother died two days before the encounter at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Friday.
And Drogba who once played with the Muslera at Galatasaray has commiserated with the goalkeeper following the family tragedy.
