The Manchester United man overtook Formula One driver Jenson Button on the Sunday Times Rich List 2015 and is now worth an eye-popping £72 million.
He still trails Lewis Hamilton though by some distance. The Formula One champion remains top of the list after increasing his worth from £68 million to £88 million over the last year.
As the Daily Mail notes, Hamilton lives as a tax exile in Monaco.
Andy Murray and Rio Ferdinand round off the top five.
