Sammy Ndjock scored an inexplicable own goal as second-tier Minnesota United fell 4-0 to Premier League side Bournemouth.
There are inexplicable own goals ... and then there's what happened to Minnesota United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock.
The Cameroon international inadvertently threw the ball into his own net Wednesday as the NASL club fell 4-0 in a friendly against Premier League side Bournemouth.
Callum Wilson had given Bournemouth the lead in the 24th minute at NSC Stadium before Ndjock doubled that advantage in embarrassing fashion two minutes later. Preparing to distribute, the goalkeeper changed his mind mid-throw, lost his grip on the ball and watched it agonizingly bounce into his goal.
