Wambach: I plan to play in Rio Olympics

International soccer's all-time leading scorer has confirmed she plans to go for her third gold medal next summer in Brazil.

U.S. national team forward Abby Wambach says she's planning on playing in next summer's Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Speaking on “Good Day Rochester” on Fox Rochester in her New York hometown, Wambach said: “What’s next for me, my life plan? I haven’t decided about what I’m going to do. I’m planning on playing next summer in Rio, but I gotta let my body recover."

The 35-year-old scored one goal at the Women's World Cup this summer, as she started the final three games of the USA's World Cup-winning run from the bench.
