PHOENIX -- The future is bright for Mexico's hopes of a Copa America title.

After Sunday night's 3-1 victory against Uruguay in Phoenix, El Tri has now gained three vital points in the first game of the group stage competition.

With the win in hand, Mexico fans and manager Juan Carlos Osorio can rest easy knowing that only Venezuela and Jamaica stand in their way before the knockout stage.
