Lionel Messi hit a major benchmark Wednesday against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League and did so in stunning fashion.
In the 82nd minute, Messi curled a free kick into the top left corner—past a diving Alisson—to give Barcelona a 3-0 lead, which is how the match finished.
The goal was Messi's 600th in all competitions for Barcelona.
He also scored in the 75th minute, doubling Barca's advantage after Luis Suarez got the opener in the 26th minute.
Barcelona is now firmly in the driver's seat heading into the second leg at Anfield on Tuesday.
