VIDEO: Morgan goal helps USWNT to win over China

The U.S. women's national team was back in action on Thursday, with forward Alex Morgan's goal helping Jill Ellis's side to a 1-0 win over China in the first of back-to-back friendly clashes between the sides.

It was the first match in nearly two months for the USWNT, who have won six of seven matches played in 2018.

Ellis turned to an experienced group for the match aside from two players who both made their first starts for the side in the form of McCall Zerboni and Savannah McCaskill.

Morgan was joined on the front line by McCaskill and Megan Rapinoe, with the 32-year-old setting up the game's only goal with a pinpoint free kick in her 136th appearance for the national side.
