Mohammad Alazmi's poor decision making cost his side three points and won him a place on an unfortunate list of football bloopers.
Al Kuwait midfielder Mohammad Alazmi scored a contender for the worst own goal ever to hand opponent Al Riffa a 2-1 win in their AFC Cup group stage clash.
His side was drawing 1-1 when a cross came in from the right flank, but with all the time in the world to deal with the danger, the 23-year-old put the ball past his own goalkeeper.
Luckily for Alazmi, Al Kuwait still managed to finish second in Group D with two points more than third place Al Riffa, despite the 2-1 defeat.
