Barcelona president Joan Laporta has been urged to step aside from his role at the club by Victor Font, his closest rival at the last election.
Font has written a lengthy letter to the Barcelona president to share his “deep concern” that he says members feel about the club’s current situation and future.
The 51-year-old highlights several areas of concern in particular, not least the “terrible management” of current first-team boss Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi is currently expected to be relieved of his duties after Sunday’s final game of the season against Sevilla. Hansi Flick is the current favorite to take over and is said to have a verbal agreement with the club.
