The 34-year-old made his mark with Chivas USA, and will now serve in the LA Galaxy's front office.
Veteran goalkeeper Dan Kennedy announced his retirement Tuesday after a career that spanned more than a decade.
The 34-year-old was most recently with LA Galaxy, and had spent time with FC Dallas, Chile's Club de Deportes Iquique and the Puerto Rico Islanders. He was drafted in 2005 by the MetroStars (now the New York Red Bulls) but didn't play a game with the New Jersey-based club.
Kennedy is best known for his seven seasons with now-defunct MLS club Chivas USA, with whom he played 144 league games.
