U.S. international Ventura Alvarado believes playing for Club America in the Liga MX playoffs would be a big boost for his national team prospects.

Alvarado, a center back who has appeared for the U.S. in friendlies against Denmark, Switzerland and Mexico in the past two months, said club success can catch the eye of United States manager Jurgen Klinsmann.
