The Canadian side added to its attacking ranks by signing Kashiwa Reysol's all-time leading goal-scorer

The Vancouver Whitecaps have announced the signing of striker Masato Kudo on a free transfer from Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol.

Kudo, 25, joins on a multi-year deal. He has spent his entire career with Kashiwa Reysol, where he is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 92 goals in 260 total appearances.

“Masato has a very good goal-scoring record and we are always looking at adding to the group,” Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson said in a club release.
