USA's Morgan Brian & Germany's Alexandra Popp Involved in Head-to-Head Collision

There was a scary moment in the first half of the 2015 Women's World Cup semifinals match between the United States and Germany when Morgan Brian (USA) and Alexandra Popp (Germany) were involved in a nasty head-to-head collision.

The incident occurred off a Germany free-kick deep in United States territory. Brian and Popp each went for the ball with their heads and ended up knocking into one another.

Both players immediately went down to the turf, and play was stopped. Popp appeared to get the worst of the collision, as her head was bleeding as a result of the play.
