The United States men's national team and Mexico will renew their rivalry at the Alamodome in San Antonio at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Because the fixture does not land in a FIFA window, both sides will be represented by domestic players instead of those from Europe.
The big story out of the USMNT camp entering Wednesday's showdown is the lack of depth at forward. Jozy Altidore is suspended for the game, while Clint Dempsey is out with a hamstring injury.
Mexico boss Miguel Herrera has already named his starting 11 for the match.
