WASHINGTON — In the public eye, Abby Wambach was indecisive. In her own head, she was anything but.
Hours, days and eventually months passed by without a decision. As several U.S. teammates called it a career, the question lingered: Would the 35-year-old go out with a Women's World Cup crown or stick it out for another shot at Olympic gold?
Yet the choice was swift and simple. Wambach made her decision July 5, at the final whistle of the World Cup final in Vancouver.
