U.S. under-23 keeper Cody Cropper is in the market for a new club after his release from Southampton.
U.S. Under-23 keeper Cody Cropper has been released from Southampton, the club announced Tuesday.
The 22-year-old joined Southampton prior to the 2012-13 campaign from Ipswich on a free transfer, but never made a first-team appearance for the Saints, playing mostly for the Under-21 side. He did make the bench six times during the 13-14 season, but did not make it during the 14-15 campaign.
Last week, Cropper was named to Andi Herzog’s United States under-23 roster for the 2015 Toulon tournament.
