Hannover 96 has confirmed the arrival of American forward Bobby Wood from Hamburg on a season-long loan with a purchase option.
Wood endured a difficult 2017-18 with Hamburg, scoring just two league goals in 24 appearances as the club was relegated to the 2.Bundesliga.
But the 25-year-old will now continue in the German top flight, landing with Hannover after two seasons with HSV.
“I had very good conversations with the coach and I know what the club want to achieve, what kind of football they want to play and what my role can be," Wood told Hannover's official website.
