U.S. Soccer has announced that CEO Dan Flynn has undergone successful heart transplant surgery.
In a brief statement, U.S. Soccer said:
"Earlier today, U.S. Soccer CEO/Secretary General Dan Flynn underwent heart transplant surgery. The surgery was deemed a success, and he is expected to make a full recovery. Flynn, 61, has held the position of U.S. Soccer CEO/Secretary General since July 1, 2000. U.S. Soccer will have no further comment at this time."
