The American striker will move from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar to the Bundesliga after the two sides reached an agreement for the 24-year-old striker.
U.S. international striker Aron Johannsson is on his way to the Bundesliga.
AZ Alkmaar agreed to send the 24-year-old to German side Werder Bremen for a fee reportedley worth 5 million euros ($5.5M).
"Werder Bremen confirmed their interest on Saterday evening and since then it went very quick," AZ technical director Earnest Stewart told the club's website. "They really wanted to have Aron and they showed that in everything. This is a very good deal for AZ and also for Aron.
