PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad — The difference between the brisk chill of recent evenings in St. Louis and the sultry conditions in this Caribbean capital is palpable, but that is far from the only considerable difference the U.S. national team will note when comparing last week's World Cup qualifying win against St. Vincent & The Grenadines and Tuesday's clash with Trinidad and Tobago.
After kicking off their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign with a comfortable victory against an overmatched opponent, the Americans are now preparing to take on a T&T side riding a considerable wave of confidence after an impressive Gold Cup, and more recently a 2-1 road qualifying win against Guatemala.
