United States Vice President Joe Biden will attend the Women's World Cup final in Canada with second lady Jill Biden leading President Barack Obama's delegation, the White House announced Thursday.
The U.S. women topped Germany 2-0 in a semifinal Tuesday to secure a spot in the final where they will face Japan for the second consecutive World Cup.
Along with the Bidens, U.S. legend Mia Hamm, who won two World Cups and scored 158 goals for the women's side, and former men's national team player Cobi Jones are in the delegation.
