It had looked like another night in Manchester City's troubled relationship with the Champions League. But then came Kevin De Bruyne's winning goal in injury time. Admittedly, the Belgian had not played at all well, with a series of failed key passes and some wayward shooting, yet his finish from Yaya Toure's pass was decisive, and what a team with serious Champions League ambitions needed.
