Paris Saint-Germain's top players reportedly debated their style of play with manager Unai Emery last week and backed a return to the possession-based game they played under former boss Laurent Blanc.
According to L'Equipe (via French football writer Jonathan Johnson), captain Thiago Silva led the discussions, while Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi, Maxwell and Javier Pastore also all backed a return to further valuing possession:
Formation was not the main issue in the exchange. The fact that Emery places less importance on possession was players' biggest concern.

Motta, Matuidi, Maxwell & Javier Pastore all reportedly had their say & all apparently felt PSG better when dominant on the ball.
