UEFA Ban Panathinaikos from European Competition for 3 Years for Breaching FFP

UEFA has hit Panathinaikos with a three-year ban from participating in European competition for breaching financial-fair-play regulations.

The governing body announced the news on its official website. In December, the Adjudicatory Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body decided that the Greek side had to prove to UEFA by March 1 that they had repaid their debts to creditors or come to an agreement with them, or they would face the ban.

However, the CFCB Investigatory Chamber determined on March 19 that Panathinaikos had failed to meet that requirement, and as such, the club will not be allowed to compete in the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League in the 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
