It was just over two year ago that many sports blogs posted a somewhat unbelievable headline.
“Bayern Believe Barca Won’t Exist In ‘One Or Two Years’ Time’, Want Cash Upfront For Lewandowski,” read one such article from Sport Bible. It was also reported in famous sports dailies like Marca.
It seems poetic that now, two years later, FC Barcelona have handed FC Bayern Munich a strong defeat in the UEFA Champions League. It’s not a knockout match or anything like that, but it was a statement game.
Of course, even then, the story was not exactly real.
