Toluca leave it late, Vargas strike earns Tigres draw in start of Liga MX Liguilla

Two late goals snatched a 2-1 win for Toluca over Monarcas Morelia in the first leg of their Liguilla quarterfinals matchup.

The visitors had taken a 1-0 lead when Peruvian international Raul Ruidiaz blasted home a penalty in the 66th minute to give his side an important away goal.

But just when Toluca look like they were headed to Michoacan with a defeat, Fernando Uribe leveled in the 91st minute after latching on to a brilliant through ball.

Moments later, a deflected shot from Pablo Barrientos sent the Estadio Nemesio Diez into delirium as the Diablos Rojos earned a thrilling comeback win.
