Brazil boss Tite said Lionel Messi needs to have more respect and accept defeat after the Argentina captain let fly with his comments after his team’s exit from the Copa America.
Messi was harshly sent off in Argentina’s third-place win over Chile on Saturday and complained after the game about poor refereeing throughout the tournament.
Tite’s side beat Peru 3-1 on Sunday to lift the trophy for the first time since 2007 and was critical of Messi after the win.
“He has to have more respect and needs to accept when he loses,” he said.
