Tigres demolish Pumas UNAM 3-0 in Liga MX Final first leg

Tigres took a big step towards winning the league title by comfortably brushing aside Pumas UNAM 3-0 in Thursday's Liga MX final first leg.

Andre-Pierre Gignac got things up and running in the 15th minute from the penalty spot before Javier Aquino beat Alejandro "Pikolin" Palacios a second time in the 29th minute, as Tigres further strengthened their grip on the proceedings.

Rafael Sobis seemingly sealed matters for Ricardo Ferretti's side when the Brazilian easily fired past Pikolin after a blocked Gignac shot in the 60th minute.

Tigres will now go into Sunday's return leg at the Estadio Universitario with a three goal advantage and with a record of 11 games straight without a defeat.
