Tigres UANL have confirmed the signing of French forward Andy Delort from Caen.
The 24-year-old traveled to Monterrey, Mexico to complete the deal on Wednesday morning after passing a medical in the city.
Although details of his contract have not been revealed to the public, the club did not confirm the forward’s capture until Thursday afternoon. Fellow Frenchman Andre-Pierre Gignac is said to have helped convince Delort to join Tigres.
Delort scored 13 goals and notched two assists in 38 games for Ligue 1’s Caen. In the past, he was also Guillermo Ochoa’s teammate at AC Ajaccio, where he spent a total of four years with the Corsican-based club.
