Tigres remains on track to become the first Mexican team to win the Copa Libertadores after overcoming Emelec on Tuesday.
Rafael Sobis had a goal and an assist as Tigres UANL overturned a first-leg deficit to advance to the Copa Libertadores semifinals.
Tigres lost last week's opening leg 1-0 to Emelec in Ecuador via a second-half goal from Miller Bolanos, but the Mexicans were too strong on home soil on Tuesday, winning 2-0 to claim a 2-1 aggregate victory.
Scoreless in three of its past four matches in all competitions, Tigres opened the scoring at Estadio Universitario de Nuevo Leon in the sixth minute thanks to Sobis.
