Mundo Deportivo has devoted a fair bit of pages on Arsenal’s interest in Samper, claiming Arsene Wenger is making an effort to sign the 20-year-old midfielder, who has somehow grown frustrated at Barcelona due to lack of opportunities.
While one would imagine, a player of Pedro Rodriguez’s calibre is facing a difficult time in breaking into the first team, life isn’t rosy for Samper either at the Catalan club. He has been already told that already been told he won’t be part of the first team next year at Barca.
The club felt it would be better for him to continue his development with Barcelona B, however, with Barca B being relegated last year, the player is unsure whether it is the right step for him to further his development.
