Thierry Henry says Xavi started Barcelona’s new era not Hansi Flick

Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry says ex-boss Xavi was the one to start the club’s new era and not current boss Hansi Flick.

The Catalans are flying under their German coach after he replaced Xavi during the summer, but Henry feels Xavi deserves some credit for Barca’s resurgence.

“I don’t think Hansi Flick started an era at Barça. It was Xavi who did it and Flick is continuing what Xavi did. Xavi made Cubarsí debut, Lamine Yamal and was with many players who are there. Xavi left and Flick arrived,” he said on CBS Sports.
