Thierry Henry Reportedly Told to Quit Sky by Arsene Wenger to Save Arsenal Job

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly told club legend Thierry Henry that he must quit his role as a Sky Sports pundit if he wants to have a coaching role with the Gunners, despite the former striker offering to work for free.

Henry, 38, has spent time with a variety of the youth teams at Arsenal while doing his UEFA A licence qualifications but now must coach a side to get his UEFA Pro Licence, per Matt Law in the Telegraph.

According to the Daily Mail's Charles Sale, Arsenal academy head Andries Jonker had offered Henry the position of assistant coach with the under-18s side, but Wenger said he must quit his television role if he is to take up the job as he "cannot work within the club during the week and then criticise their players at the weekend.
