Barcelona have confirmed that Thiago Alcantara has left Hansi Flick’s coaching staff after a brief stint with the club this summer.
Thiago returned to the Catalan giants after announcing he had retired from professional football after leaving Liverpool as a free agent.
The 33-year-old then joined Flick’s staff but is now moving on before the start of the new La Liga season.
Here’s the club’s official statement:
“Arnau Blanco, until now the coach of the FC Barcelona U16A team, joins Hansi Flick’s coaching team in place of Thiago Alcántara who today, Friday August 16, has his last day with the squad.
