Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden says that he expects to leave the club this summer.
Hayden, who has been one of Newcastle’s best players this season, handed in a transfer request last summer in the hopes of moving to a club closer to his daughter, who was born prematurely and requires regular medical care, and his fiancee.
A move to Brighton fell through last year, and a loan move to either West Brom or Aston Villa, who both expressed interest in signing Hayden, also failed to happen in January after the Magpies were unable to sign a suitable replacement for the 24-year-old, who insists there is no reason he should not be allowed to leave the club when the transfer window opens.
