Today his name lives on in the Puskas Award, given by Fifa annually to the scorer of the best goal of the year. He, himself, could have been handed plenty of those. In that storied game in 1953 at Wembley, Ferenc Puskas unleashed a glorious drag-back before lashing the ball home at the near post to put Hungary 3-1 up in an eventual 6-3 win and leave the great Billy Wright on his back.
