Sydney FC have reinforced the centre of their defence with the signing of former Eredivisie-based defender Jordy Buijs.
With Matt Jurman having left the club for Suwon Bluewings and Seb Ryall injuring his hamstring last week, Sydney will be undermanned at centre-back when they host Western Sydney Wanderers in the derby on Saturday night.
But the Sky Blues will have one more option next week with Buijs - a former De Graafschap and NAC Breda player in his native Netherlands - having signed until the end of the season.
