The Swope Park Rangers (Sporting Kansas City’s USL team) just keep growing their roster in anticipation of the start of the 2018 USL Season. On Wednesday they added former Columbus Crew draft pick Chase Minter to their midfield. Minter was selected with the 21st overall pick (1st pick in the 2nd round) of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.
He never signed with the Crew but instead spent 2016 with both the Sacramento Republic and Tulsa Roughnecks (loan) of the USL. In 2017 he moved slightly closer to Kansas/Missouri by moving to Real Salt Lake’s USL team, the Real Monarchs.
