Struggling Stuttgart fires Zorniger

The Bundesliga club has just 10 points from 13 games and has decided to sack head coach Alexander Zorniger in the wake of their 4-0 defeat to Augsburg.

Stuttgart announced it has parted company with head coach Alexander Zorniger with immediate effect following the club's underwhelming start to the 2015-16 campaign.

The Mercedes-Benz Arena outfit sits 16th in the Bundesliga with only 10 points from 13 games this season.

Stuttgart was hammered 4-0 at home by fellow struggler Augsburg over the weekend and has consequently decided to fire Zorniger.

"The way we were beaten on Saturday in particular really worried us," club president Bernd Wahler told the Stuttgart's website.
