Steven Gerrard Reportedly Targeting Liverpool Role at End of 2016 MLS Season

Liverpool’s legendary former captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly poised to take on a coaching role with the Reds at the end of the Major League Soccer season.

According to Mike McGrath of the Sun, the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder will head back to England later this year and will have a lot of opportunities for work, including a punditry gig. But it’s suggested the 35-year-old is taking qualifications that could see him return to Anfield as part of Jurgen Klopp’s coaching set-up.

“It’s 100 per cent he’ll be back at the end of his contract,” says a source quoted in the piece.
