Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has reportedly "agreed a deal in principle" to take over at Rangers in what will be his first senior managerial position.
Sky Sports News reported Gerrard's move to the Ibrox was sealed following a meeting with the club in London late Thursday evening, with official confirmation expected later on Friday.
Rangers are seeking a successor to the recently sacked Graeme Murty and will hope Gerrard, if confirmed, can help them challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership crown.
