Kelyn Rowe broke a tie in the 65th minute, and the New England Revolution edged the visiting Red Bulls, 2-1, on Wednesday night to overtake them for first place in the Eastern Conference of M.L.S. New England won its sixth straight game, matching a club record set in 2005.

The Red Bulls, whose goal was scored by Mike Grella in the sixth minute, lost for the second time in their last 10 matches.
