A Brazilian hospital said Pelé, widely considered the greatest player in history, had been hospitalized in São Paulo. Mirtes Bogea, a spokeswoman for the Albert Einstein hospital, said on Saturday that she could confirm only Pele’s hospitalization. Pelé, 74, underwent prostate surgery at the same hospital in May.
