At least 26 African countries will not vote for Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa of Bahrain in the FIFA presidential election, defying the recommendation of the continental confederation, said Musa Bility, the head of the Liberian soccer federation.

Also, six Central European federations — from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Poland and Slovakia — confirmed their support for Gianni Infantino, the secretary general of UEFA, the European confederation, according to Leo Windtner, the Austrian federation’s president.
