Brittney Griner filed papers seeking to annul her 28-day marriage to Glory Johnson. “In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it,” Griner said in a statement to ESPN. “I now realize that was a mistake.”
Griner and Johnson, both W.N.B.A. stars, married on May 9, three weeks after both were arrested in Arizona on domestic violence charges. Johnson announced Thursday that she was pregnant.
